They chose to keep their property and continue working on it themselves. They made the mistake of talking about how it was going to change, now that there'll not just five programmers working on the game - prior to Steam, it was 2 (briefly 3). The Steam launch was successful, then they followed up with MP, and started considering going the publisher route rather than just indie (much better contacts, a support network, and help to complete the game - at a price). They dance around the point with minor dribbles of content, and talking about how once they implement an entirely new animation system, that's when they'll work on NPCs, but that's how they've been for about probably six years. They only care when someone talks about how it's been eight years since the game was in alpha. They don't care when it's one their platform. They kept banning people who spoke up, or locking their threads because They promised the return of the main story line, and of deeper incorporation of NPCS.īut they abandoned that.
